The Bryan County Redskins suffered a humiliating 55-0 loss Friday night at the hands of the Savannah Christian Raiders (5-1, 2-0 Regio 3-A).

The Raiders proved to be too much for the Redskins (1-5, 1-1) as they gained an early advantage with five first half touchdowns.

T.J. Franklin and Chris Barnwell combined for the first half touchdowns to lead the Raiders. Barnwell added his fourth touchdown of the game in the third quarter and Kaleb Wynn and Harrison Curry finished out the scoring onslaught.

The Bryan County offense never could muster an attack or sustain drives as the Raider defense held the Redskins to two first downs on the night and outgained Bryan County on the ground with 212 rushing yards versus 74 for the Redskins.

Bryan County found themselves having to punt on three of their four first half possessions and then threw an interception in the endzone on the fourth possession. The Skins never could get in sync as they continued to shoot themselves in the foot with nine penalties for 61 loss yards, to make things even worse.

"If you guys are satisfied with the way you played tonight and the effort you gave then we won’t win another game this year," Redskin Coach Ron Lewis told his team after the game. "We didn’t give the effort needed to win tonight and we just weren’t ready to play."

Next up, Bryan County will travel to Claxton on Friday, Oct. 17 for another region contest against the (4-2, 1-1) Claxton Tigers.
