Redskins honored at banquet

The Bryan County High school varsity and junior varsity baseball players were the honored guest at the high school cafeteria on Tuesday night, May 18 as players, coaches, administration, parents, and friends gathered for the annual Awards night. After a supper of pizza and soda, the presentation ceremony began. Varsity head coach, Tony Dragon and assistant coach, Dan Kaufman led the presentations.
 Dragon, who took over the varsity baseball coaching position this year presented the special awards to his varsity players as follows. Top Pitcher-Cody Crowe, Top Hitter-Shane Dillon, Albert Lodge Award-Ryan Poythress, Team Captain-Cody Crowe. MVP-Cody Crowe. Dragon also recognized two of his players who were selected to the areas All -Region 3A team where only 15 players from the region are selected by area coaches. Representing Bryan County was Cameron Lee and Cody Crowe. The varsity ceremony ended with three, four year players who are graduating receiving their team jersey in a frame. Those four year players were Cody Crowe, Cameron Lee, Ryan Poythress.
 Coach Dan Kaufman took the floor for the junior varsity presentations and the following recipients were awarded. Top Pitcher-Corey Cook, Top Hitter-Dylan McCoy, Coaches Award-Jeffrey Hamlet.
 The 2010 varsity roster-Cody Crowe, Cameron Lee, Alex Sapp, Ryan Poythress, Ben Covington, Nick Rud, Zach Shinall, Garrett Riggleman, Sherrod Carter, Shane Dillon, Corey Cook. The Junior varsity roster-Mickey Smith, Jesse Barrow, Tyler Mikell, Dylan McCoy, Cameron Register, Tyler Kirby, Jeffrey Hamlet, Matthew Herb, Jacob Powell, Tyler Poythress, Brandon Albright, Kevin Achen, Makayla Peny, Austin Manchester.
