Seven advance to state track meet

Seven Richmond Hill High School track and field athletes will compete in the state Class AAA meets.
On the girls side, Janell McKinney qualified in the 800 after winning the Region 3-AAA title with a time of 2 minutes, 34.5 seconds. Nikki Shields won the 400 crown with a time of 57.59 seconds.
Chelsey Callahan qualified in the 3,200 by winning region with a time of 14 minutes. 2.9 seconds. Amber Kasinger won the high jump by clearing 4 feet, 10 inches. The girls meet is Friday and Saturday in Albany.
State qualifiers for the boys are Russell Lawless in the 1,600 and 3,200 -- he finished second in both region races with times of 4 minutes, 36.85 seconds and 10 minutes, 6.1 seconds, respectively -- Shaquille Walker in the 800 and Albert Reddick in the 300 intermediate hurdles.
Walker won the region 800 title with a time of 1 minute, 53.03 seconds while Reddick placed second with a time of 40.15 seconds.
