The Richmond Hill High School basketball teams travelled to Claxton Tuesday for a non-region matchup. The RHHS girls won while the boys lost.
Lady Wildcat Tyler Carlson continued her hot streak while scoring 26 points to lead her team to a 63-29 victory over Claxton.
"It was a really physical game, which we didn’t need at this point in the season," RHHS Coach Elizabeth Bennett said. "But the girls held their composure, and we’re focusing now on our region schedule."
The Wildcat boys were defeated 66-50.
"We were down by 11 at halftime, and they (Claxton) ran away with it during the third quarter," RHHS Coach William Altman said.
The Lady Wildcats are now 16-5 and 7-2 for Region 3-AAA. The Wildcats are now 11-11 and 3-6 for Region 3-AAA.
RHHS played Baldwin last night, and there are two more games of regular season play: Liberty on Feb. 12 and Washington County on Feb. 13.
