
Richmond Hill came up with mixed results after a three-way wrestling match at Benedictine Military School on Tuesday. The Mat Cats defeated Groves 72-9 but fell to Benedictine 48-27.
"It was a good match between us and BC," RHHS Coach Adam Moret said. "They have a great team, including two potential state champions this year. All things considered, we did pretty well against an established team."
The following RHHS wrestlers won their matches against BC: Zach Sheffield (125 pounds), Shi-han Hsu (140 pounds), Michael Early (145 pounds), Dylan Lyle (215 pounds) and Josh Bryant (heavyweight).
The following RHHS wrestlers won their matches against Groves: Bryant (heavyweight), Early (145 pounds), Justin Delaney (103 pounds), Brandon Mason (152 pounds), Michael Morris (171 pounds) and Garrett McGuire (189 pounds).
