The Lady Wildcat volleyball team downed Brunswick High School and Ware County in a non-region double header at Brunswick.

Richmond Hill swept Ware County and edged out Brunswick 2-1 on Tuesday. Richmond Hill now has a record of 6-2 and 2-1 in Region 3-AAA.

"I’m very proud of this team for coming together and being successful," RHHS Coach Ashleigh Davis-Lee said. "Our team is only five weeks old, but you couldn’t tell to look at them."

The top stars at Tuesday’s games were Gaby Parker (3 aces, 4 kills, 12 digs), Sarah Goolsby (2 aces, 6 digs, 1 block) and Ariel Cassidy (10 digs, 1 ace, 8 service points).

Next up is a Region 3-AAA double header on Sept. 12 versus West Laurens and Baldwin at West Laurens. The first ever home game is slated for 4:15 p.m. on Sept. 15 versus both Windsor Forest and Camden.
